Love — An unconditional tale!

Hi, I am Sneha. Sneha, as the name goes, in Sanskrit means love, affection, kindness and tenderness.
It symbolises warmth and nurturing bonds with loved ones. I hold the initial letters of both my
parents’ names that start with ‘S’ and ‘N’. It is said that, when you are named, your personality
becomes such. So, for me, Sneha is what I am, a believer in the word called ‘LOVE’.

We live in a world of hatred, in a world where, somewhere or the other, there is a war destroying
beauty. People are fighting for life, fighting for land, fighting for possession. There is so much killing,
so much losing. When I see such visuals, a question pops up in my mind — where has love flown
away? We say, ‘I hate you so easily’, but when it comes to expressing love, why do our legs shake?
Why do we hesitate? What stops us from expressing something so beautiful?

I love you!
A sentence so small,
Yet so containing.
It starts with an ‘I’
Ends with a ‘you’,
And in the middle, ‘love’ beats.
It beats with a bond.
So tender,
So soft and full of life.

Love is the greatest of all producers. It gives life to a newborn, it nurtures with care and compassion.
It has stages. It has forms. In a planet like Earth, love creates peace. As a believer in peace and a
devotee to Hanuman, Shiva and Krishna, I have felt them with all heart and soul. Hanuman’s devoted
love for Ram portrays innocence in the most astonishing way. Shiva’s love gives so much inner
strength. And Oh My God! Krishna, what to say about him? His love resides in Radha, in Mira, and all
the sixteen thousand Gopis, in every creature, in every form. Indian mythology carries so much
about love. It explains hatred too. But has always pinpointed how it got smashed by love’s
occurrence and unconditional nature.

Unconditional, is it? Yes. If you ask me, my answer will always be YES. Love is UNCONDITIONAL. It is
not a barter. Not any give and take. But a flow. Like a RIVER. And what about expectations? What if
you love someone and do not get anything in return? Really? Return? Then dear, it’s not love, but
business. Love is devotion, it is like the beautiful verses of Kirtan. No, it does not only restrict to
divinity, but if you love someone, it comes as devotion.

Does it pain a lot? Yes, it does. Only when you treat it as a weakness. But if transformed into
strength, it can become the most powerful catalyst. A catalyst that empowers and makes the world
a better place to live in. You can accept it as it comes, you can let it go as it goes; you can hold it as it
longed to belong. When loved unconditionally, all conditions shed its dead feathers to transform
into a beautiful nightingale. Music comes along, comes along with a fulfilled soul that can hold so
much, a person transforms into something new, something better, more beautiful in the SOUL.

I have come in this platform of Mrs. India Queen of Substance to spread love, as I am Sneha.
