Cut down on plastic

It is high time we should cut down on plastic as much as you can. Plastic that goes into the ocean or landfills is harming us more than you can imagine. One should completely cut down on disposable plates and cutlery, instead use copper, steal and glassware. Use of copper jug and bottle, instead of plastic bottles is an healthier option. It also adds to the aesthetic. We can also switch to bamboo toothbrushes and steel straws, which are a popular choice now a days. We should wear handmade clothes more often. Hand woven cloths are breathable, reusable for a long time and eco friendly compared to mass production. Also handwoven clothes are biodegradable, hence they do not pollute the environment. Everyone is well groomed today. Grooming and skincare is integral part of our lifestyle. A wide range of ecofriendly and natural products are available in the market. We also have the option of buying products for companies who are plastic neutral. But vocal for local should be our mantra. Not only for boosting country’s economy but also for a healthy balanced society. One can easily find handmade. Buying from local business adds to country’s economy and is ecofriendly. Lifestyle reflects on your face and health. Healthy glowing skin is a result of healthy lifestyle. As a salon & spa owner I always make sure I use the best products which are natural and ecofriendly. All the disposables used in my salon are recycled items. Indian culture has always promoted simple and ecofriendly lifestyle. It is our duty now to go back to our roots of simplicity and sustainable living thus making this planet more beautiful place for our future generations. Samrudhi Kunkolienkar Dhond
