Siman Mehra
- A Brief about yourself and how you describe your own Personality and Persona.
My name is Siman Mehra, I'm from Ludhiana, happily married for the past 9 years, and blessed with a mischievous Lil boy who has completely changed my life. I've become more tolerant and always ready to sacrifice for the sake of my family. I'm living my life passionately following what the heart says and it has made me a happier person than before. Also, I dream a lot and put all my endeavours to accomplish them. I am a proud daughter, a proud wife, and a proud mother now.
- Your Achievements that makes you feel high.
I always think that life gives us tons of opportunities and if we grab them at the right time, it can lead to great success, and according to me success is a synonym for achievement. So whenever I got success in life, I took it as an achievement. Still, the most notable achievement of mine is the words of appreciation I got from my principal ma’am (B.Ed), that she will always remember me as I have set a wonderful example for all married women who all manage to study after marriage. I participated in every competition held in college, won prizes, scored the second position in college as well as managed my house well. It makes me feel high when people say “you are a true inspiration girl.”
- Define the true beauty.
Being contented when brings inner glow and happiness to our countenance, that's what true beauty is! Every skin colour, type, and feature is beauty because it's our creature's greatest gift. Moreover, when we know how to carry ourselves with confidence, we certainly become more attractive and empowered.
- What makes a complete, healthy and happy family for you?
For me, a family that is built with strong pillars of trust, respect, and care fits in the potrait of a happy and healthy family. And I'm blessed enough to have such a family that supports and always tries to uplift each other. Also, the best example of a happy and healthy family is when all you crave is going back home after a tiring day to see smiling eyes which welcome you with the same enthusiasm and blissfulness.
- What is your favorite Idea of Holidaying?
All I've ever planned for holidays is staying connected and around the people who are optimistic and eventually touring with them is the best ideation. Since 2018, my husband has created a tradition of spending vacation with full zeal no matter what the place and weather is; instead, the only focus is to increase the numbers and live those vacation moments completely.
- Why you are participating in Mrs India Queen of Substance?
Participating in this beauty pageant is all about showcasing self-love. Being a part of a beauty pageant is not a dream but a hidden desire that I'm going to fulfill now only because of my husband's support. Mrs India Queen of Substance is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for me and I'm going to live every moment of it. Moreover, I wish to work for a cause and I hope this platform can give me a way forward.
- What bothers you most about what is happening in the country today?
Although we earned independence from British rule long back, there are certain social issues we still need to win over and these problems bother me the most. Discrimination against women, acid attacks, and rape are those instigated crimes that tend to ruin the identity, confidence, and career of a girl. The trauma in which these survivors live initially is unimaginable & beyond words and I even get afraid to read or see such things. I believe educating people in the first place and creating maximum awareness with the proliferation of IT is a great option to eradicate these issues from their very roots.
- The Quote or saying that encourages you?
As a content writer by profession, while writing inspirational articles, I go through several encouraging and motivating quotes and saying. There are several quotes that encourage me to do something good in my life, so that I can proudly say that I live a worthy life. Still I’d like to mention an encouraging quote by Alan Kay-“the best way to predict the future is to invent it”. It’s true that future is uncertain, but I believe we can create a better future by putting our best efforts and by doing hard work, instead of just waiting for destiny to decide where should we step in next!
- What is true “Sportsmanship” for you?
True sportsmanship according to me is keeping your winning attitude alive every day, every minute and every second of your life. As being a woman we are supposed to suppress our dreams, struggle a lot to win every one's heart in the family, and live with rules, the never giving up outlook is again what define true sportsmanship.
- If you were selected as a Charity Ambassador what value addition would you like to make for our Society and how?
Being a charity ambassador is a task of huge responsibility, but I would love to take such an authority through which I can contribute my small share to help my nation. Being an economic student I always go through latest poverty trends, illiteracy rate and several issues, so if I would be a charity ambassador I would like to contribute towards girl education, employment generation program and poverty alleviation programs.
