  • Define the true beauty.
  • I believe, beauty is being comfortable with one’s self and current situation. Being beautiful is a choice and requires work on oneself. It is a combination of the physical, spiritual and mental state. True beauty comes with maturity and includes good looks, grace, positivity, warmth, honesty, acceptance and a rhythm to life. It means being self-sufficient, yet being able to adapt to the surrounding. It means being in balance with the physical and the spiritual world. Beauty is not only how a person looks, but how a person can make other people feel about themselves.

  • What makes a complete, healthy and happy family for you?
  • A family is a unit where one can feel loved and accepted, no matter what. A complete family is one where there is space for each one to be the way they prefer, without comparisons. Positive communication between members, enjoyment during time spent together and joy at seeing other’s smiles. Lots of hugs and kisses, support to excel, place to cry, no expectations, ever-readiness to kill or get killed for the loved ones, without regrets. Healthy family is when there is good food on table, habit to exercise since childhood, adventures in nature, discussion of issues needing to focus on ethics, righteousness and honesty.

  • What is your favorite Idea of Holidaying?
  • Holidaying for me is a new place where I can be with nature, interact with locals, get to know history and combine it with an adventure activity. I like to rent a plane and fly over the place, cycle, do an activity like paragliding, scuba-diving, skiing etc. My best holiday has been to Churchill, Canada to see polar bears and Northern lights. I also like quiet short breaks, to my farmhouse, on a lake, eating home-made food, reflecting quietly on things I want to make happen. I go kayaking, cycling, swimming, walking, and tend to my farm here.

  • Why you are participating in Mrs India Queen of Substance?
  • I am a common girl, who has worked on herself to become a high achiever. Presently, I am a confident, charming, humorous, stylish, elegant successful middle-aged lady. I can motivate many young girls to learn, what I have learnt. Creating that impact and being a role model, from whom they can take an inspiration seems to be a calling, I am not able to resist. Interacting with people and learning new things to improve my life is important,I believe.Participating in MIQS will also help me to become a better version of me. The exposure can help in moving RAKSHA – in right direction.

  • What bothers you most about what is happening in the country today?
  • I feel that we are losing on basic values of concern and respect for our fellow beings. We are becoming selfish and short sighted, a regressive society, inspite of economic progress. The emphasis on right things is being overtaken by short cuts to reach monetary goals. There is not enough of moral teaching in schools, to give people courage to follow path of righteousness. We are not teaching children to create and maintain beauty around them. People from villages, with no exposure, are not being supported for them to have a vision, except survival. The famers dying because of lack of support is a failure of our society. And I believe, these things can be changed if there is a political will.

  • The Quote or saying that encourages you?
  • There are 2 quotes by which I have lived my life and get inspired by. 1. TOUGH TIMES NEVER LAST, BUT TOUGH PEOPLE DO – Robert Schuller 2. WHEN YOU WANT SOMETHING, ALL THE UNIVERSE CONSPIRES IN HELPING YOU TO ACHIEVE IT – Paulo Coelho

  • What is true “Sportsmanship” for you?
  • True sportsmanship is being grateful being a part of the team and keeping the team and the goals of the team ahead of everything. Giving the correct credit where due, is the sign of a true sportsman. Playing to win, making tough choices, based on values, and not focusing on the result, is the right way to go. The knowledge, that you alone cannot win all the time, is important to be a good teamplayer. Backing out and letting another person lead, when necessary, is also a sign of a great sportsman.

  • If you were selected as a Charity Ambassador what Value addition would you like to make for our Society and how?
  • I would study my predecessors, as to what they have done for society, and take cue from that. I will pick a cause, which is a burning issue, like helping farmers become self-sufficient. I will study how some Indian states and other countries are helping farmers and spread that message, creating intiatives. I want to spread a message of how we can be courteous, caring and responsible towards fellow beings, creating videos to motivate people to choosebetween right and unacceptablebehavior. How we can be always smiling, helpful, spreading happiness in simple ways, being alert to other people’s situations and needs. I will use the knowledge to propel RAKSHA to next level.
