MADHU DUTT MEHTA

  • Brief About Yourself
  • I am Madhu Dutt Mehta. I was born at Patiala (Punjab) and educated at Badaun (U.P). After my marriage, I settled at Delhi. My in-laws are quite good. My husband is a man of balanced ideology. Whatever I have been able to achieve today is because of my husband. I have two children – a daughter and a son. My daughter has settled at London and my son who is a lawyer is pursuing higher studies.

  • Your achievements that make you feel high?
  • I have a Saloon which I started at a lower scale. I intend to achieve higher heights in this field. I am happy that in spite of myself being quite busy in my Saloon was able to pay full attention towards my children in bringing them up quite well for which I feel proud of myself. I hail for a small town. During my days, there were not good schools in my town. I had dreamt quite big dreams which I intend to fulfill. I am fortunate enough to get a good and opened mind family after marriage where I have a freedom to work.

  • Define the true beauty.
  • According to me, beauty is of two types. One external beauty and the other internal beauty. There is a great importance of traits in a human being in addition to one’s physical beauty. In case one has a clear mind and one is capable enough to keep intact one’s family’s unity as well as one holds good wishes and love for all then one is really beautiful.

  • Why you are participating in Mrs India Queen of Substance.
  • The real intention of myself taking part in the competition is that I will be able to get a bigger platform and a new identity. Also, here I will be having an opportunity to meet new people and an occasion to exchange ideas with them. It is my firm belief that when we meet different people then we are able to learn a lot which proves quite useful in our future life.

  • If you were given the chance to live again, what would it be?
  • In case I am fortunate enough to get second chance, I would like to become what I am today. I would like to restart and finish the unaccomplished tasks. It is my ardent desire to open an Old age Home because I consider that I would not let the elders down under whose patronage and guidance we have grown up and are present in this world. It I my desire to work for the old aged people and take benefit out of their experience. In addition to this, I have the intention and desire to get the orphaned children their rightful place in the society and smile on their faces who have been thrown away into the dustbins and on roads by the heartless people for being eaten by the animals.

  • The Quote or saying that encourages you?
  • Whenever I feel fatigued or loose heart, I remember the following few lines of the poem and feel enthused: ‘Harne Walon Me Himmat Nahi Hoti, Shayad, Fensla Aakhiri Lamhoo Me Badal Sakta Hai’

  • How you will contribute towards the not so fortunate children & women of our society.
  • Dreams do not fulfill the appetite. To gain something, we have to do hard work. In case I am capable enough, it is my sincere desire to work something for the deserted and poor children who have the desire to learn but are unable to do so. To achieve this, I have an idea to run a mobile school named “School at your Doorstep’. In this school the children would get meals in addition to the basic education. There would be toys in store for the children to play. I would also like to educate the women about the importance of education, personal hygiene, self-respect and their rights etc.
