SIMRIT TALWAR

  • How you describe your own Personality and Persona.
  • I am a daughter protected by an Army Dad. I grew up with the knowledge that home is where heart and family is, with no dependency on the dwelling. Mobility has been the way of my life, and I believe in absorbing what the new location is offering, giving enrichment in return. I went to London for my Masters which made me even more confident and knowledgeable. I love exploring new places and learning new cultures. I am the role model of my life as I believe everyday is an endeavor to do better than yesterday.I am proud of my flaws and mistakes as they are the building blocks of my strength and persona. I think, nobody else, but it’s me who is the embodiment of a new meaning of my life.

  • Your achievements that make you feel high.
  • I'm one of those people that believe that everything I did/went through is what got me to where I am today. If it led me to happiness, it was well worth it. I come from a very conservative family, but with the support of everybody, I explored myself and found the ‘fresh me’ every time I tried to come out my secured niche. I take this as a biggest achievement which keeps me motivated for my future endeavors. Following my heart, thinking outside the box, keeping myself above the stereotype society is something for which I am really proud of myself. Not to forget, I am writing this questionnaire and being a part of this pageant is itself a big achievement for me.

  • Define the true beauty.
  • The true beauty and its true meaning lie in becoming yourself. The moment you realize the true happiness that lie within you, beauty will radiate out into the world, no matter how you look like. The concept of true beauty goes deeper than just the outer surface. I believe that beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. And I am the beholder of my beauty in my eyes.

  • Why you are participating in Mrs India Queen of Substance.
  • A woman of substance signifies a woman of power, a woman of positive influence and a woman of meaning. To be branded as a woman of substance is one of the greatest compliments one can give a woman that wants to be an “influential” female. I now understand that it’s not just about being beautiful, but it is about being a confident, well-spoken, young woman that can make a difference to the world. By being a part of this pageant, I expect to gain an opportunity to discover my strengths and perfect them, realize my weaknesses and transform them into strengths, and take home the coveted title. My purpose here is to find the true calling of life and fulfill it.

  • If you were given the chance to live again, what would it be?
  • The question forced me to give a deep thought. I am living a happy, contended life full of love, laughter and hopes, and I think I can’t dream of a better life than this. I am blessed to have a wonderful husband who is my biggest support system, because of whom I am living a dream life. But in case if I live again, I will welcome that with open arms as this would be coming with its own mysteries which i would be ready to unfold, something challenging yet so beautiful. So I would say ‘BRING IT ON’. I would live it will all the zest and zeal as ‘life’ is a blessing and I adore it to the fullest.

  • The Quote or saying that encourages you?
  • Hope is the waking dream – Aristotle I don’t remember when I heard this for the first time, but I am following and believing it since then as it beautifully captures the essence of my thoughts. A dream symbolizes the belief that anything is possible, and hope is like those dreams which transport us to world, events, lives, and situations beyond that which we currently reside in. To hope is to believe that nothing is impossible as long as you are ready to face the challenges and fight for the same. And it’s rightly said – The cave you fear to enter holds the treasure you seek!

  • How you will contribute towards the not so fortunate children & women of our society.
  • Women throughout history have made unparalleled contributions to our society, and children are the tiny faces of God with the most divine smile of the world. It will be a privilege to make a difference in their lives and I will leave no stone unturned for the same. The role they play in paying their national dues is worth applauding. No matter how minute their effort is, I cannot write it off. In my opinion, in order to empower women – I will contribute in: -Creating a safe space for women, where they can gather and learn. -Support independence and mobility -Build self-esteem and confidence -Boost decision-making power For children: -Give my best participation to the free schools for not so fortunate children. -Free camps so that even they can feel that dreams do come true. -Provide free food and shelter -Motivating them to work so that they can stand on their own feet.
