Dr. Archana Verma
- A Brief about yourself and how you describe your own Personality and Persona.
I am a person of unshakeable will – putting the energy of each and every atom of my body and mind to get it done. I try to turn adversity into triumph with grace and grit. My persona is that of calmness with confident action which I honed as a doctor. My presence does not need to shout; it speaks through the silent focus of consistency, courage, and the inner fire that never dims.
- Your Achievements that make you feel high.
My proudest academic achievement is excelling as a doctor (receiving gold medal in MD Gynae & Obst) confidently handling surgeries and other medical procedures. As a human being, raising two deeply disciplined children is rooted in the same values my parents and mentors instilled in me. I feel a deeper sense of pride and fulfillment watching my children live by the values I passed on them.
- Define the true beauty.
To me, beauty is what all five senses perceive as pleasing – not just the eyes. If the eyes see grace and harmony, it is one part of beauty; but if the tongue bears harsh or vulgar words, that beauty fades. If the sense of touch feels rude or coarse, then it cannot be beautiful. If the ears hear cruelty or arrogance, then the charm disappears. If the nose smells arrogance more than fragrance – it breaks the illusion of beauty. So, Beauty is never just skin-deep. It is harmony, generosity that must please all five senses and more importantly, one that quenches the soul.
- What makes a complete, healthy and happy family for you?
A healthy, complete and happy family is one where ambition is balanced by contentment, and each member lives a stress-free emotionally connected life. As for me, true completeness comes when 3 generations live together because the wisdom of the first generation bridges the moral and emotional gaps the second generation does not fully address, nurturing a legacy of love, understanding and deep-rooted ethical values.
- What is your favourite Idea of Holidaying?
A perfect holiday for me means spending time in nature – in the hills, near a river, or by the sea. I like being away from the rush of everyday life.
- Why you are participating in Mrs India Queen of Substance?
I am participating in this competition to simply experience something new and meaningful at this stage of life. I have lived my role as a doctor, wife, mother and now I want to rediscover myself, I see this platform as a space where I can truly express who I really am, with honesty and confidence. It gives me an opportunity to express my individuality, share my values, and inspire others to keep growing at every stage of life. I believe true substance lies in character, compassion and confidence. Through this journey, I wish to represent not just beauty, but maturity, depth, and resistance. It is not about seeking a crown but about honoring the life I have lived and the woman I continue to be.
- What bothers you most about what is happening in the country today?
What bothers me most is how social media is lowly replacing real human relationships; People are more connected online. Families sit together silently, just scrolling through electronic devices. The warmth of face-to-face conversation is lost. We are forgetting to be more present. Social media has its advantages but when it starts replacing real bonds, it becomes harmful. I am worried that the next generations may not even know what genuine conversation feels like.
- The Quote or saying that encourages you?
“She stood in the storm, and when the wind did not blow her away, she adjusted her sails.” - Elizabeth Edwards
- What is true “Sportsmanship” for you?
True sportsmanship is not just about winning. It also means playing fair, staying humble, and respecting everyone irrespective of the results. It is about healthy competition, showing grace and courage.
- If you were selected as a Charity Ambassador what value addition would you like to make for our Society and how?
If I was selected as an ambassador, I would work to raise awareness about women’s health, especially in rural areas where education and access are limited. As a doctor, I would use my knowledge to conduct health camps, spread awareness about hygiene, pregnancy care and mental well-being. I believe real change in society begins with knowledge-sharing, compassion and consistent effort and I would give my full heart to it.
