  • A Brief about yourself and how you describe your own Personality and Persona.
  • I am,RUHI SINGH from PATNA, currently based in NAIROBI,KENYA. I am a person who loves to smile and spread smile on people’sface. I am a very cheerful, friendly and humble person, who enjoys every moment of Life! Education wise I am a trained Teacher. Presently, a HOME MAKER for my small family, which includes my Husband and a son who is 12 years of age. I love to dance which helps as a stress buster. I believe keeping fit is a key of happy life and work on my fitness through Meditation, Yoga and Physical workouts. I believe as a personyou have to be positive in every situation.

  • You’re Achievements that makes you feel high.
  • After moving to Kenya, I am involved as a volunteer with Hindi samiti Kenya to promote Hindi.As here, Hindi is not taught in Schools, I work towards improving Hindi, Written& Verbal,in fun way to our kids of diaspora. I am proud to be part of various Charity work done in and around Nairobi, with various organizations.

  • Define the true beauty.
  • For me true beauty is not “Physical Appearance”, which can always change. True Beauty should have mix of – pure Heart, polite behavior and respect for others. For me a good soul is true beauty, which can spread love and happiness.

  • What makes a complete, healthy and happy family for you?
  • In my opinion the key of complete healthy and happyfamily is, Respect, Love and Freedom. For me as a family you have to respect each other’s opinion towards emotional bonding of the family. Also,Love is oxygen of every relationship, which makes the family grow.This is also important factor of complete healthy and happy family. Last but very important pointis, Freedom.By Freedom we should have autonomy among members in the family to be open to all and work towards making the family bond stronger.

  • What is your favorite Idea of Holidaying?
  • I love to explore any new place, being blessed to live in one of the most beautiful Continent – Africa, I love exploring the rich African landscapes, beaches and wildlife. Scenic long drives along landscapes, fascinates me most. Wildlife adventure in African Safaris are always welcomed! The white Sandy Beaches attracts me for a walk during sun sets. While holidaying I love to meet new people, learn about their food,culture and costumes.

  • Why you are participating in Mrs. India Queen of Substance?
  • MRS INDIA queen of substance can give me platform to rediscover myself. This is a great platform for all marriedwomen, who wish to pursue their dreams. Having crown on my head is one of my childhood dreams, which was lost somewhere while I was growing up. While participating at this platform,I can try to fulfil my childhood dream.

  • What bothers you most about what is happening in the country today?
  • The biggest challenge today in our Country is – SAFETY of WOMEN. Any issue which touches safety of a woman, like abortion of girl child before birth, girl child abuse, eve teasing, acid attacks, domestic violence, rape etc. bothers me most. Every now and then we read / hear on the same, which is always disturbing to me as a Woman. As Kofi Annan rightly said – “there is no tool for development more effective than the empowerment of women. Our focus should be more on, educating the Society, right from childhood against Violence with Women. On the same time, we should empower women through Education and awareness.

  • The Quote or saying that encourages you?
  • Take risk in your life, if you win, you can lead, if you lose, you can guide – - Swami Vivekanand This quote has a long-lasting impact on my thoughts, coming from a middle-class background and slowly achieving what I have today, and what I wish to have tomorrow, this quote has always reminded me to CHASE my DREAM and work on it.

  • What is true “Sportsmanship” for you?
  • It is not related to Winning or Losing, the main issue is to - play the game with true spirit and all fair means, as per the rules!

  • If you were selected as a Charity Ambassador what Value addition would you like to make for our Society and how?
  • I would love to work on Charity related to “Women Safety, Awareness and Empowerment. I would like to participate in events which can help uplifting the conditions of Women of our Country. I would really like to participate, in Charity and Fund Raising by bringing in Individuals, Corporates and other like-minded International agencies,which can support ourWomen Empowerment Outreach programs.
