- A Brief about yourself and how you describe your own Personality and Persona.
I hail from the sunny shores of Goa. I am essentially a B Com. graduate, and recently before becoming a mother, I used to work at IndiGo airlines as a Lead Cabin Attendant. I am fairly passionate about dancing. As far as achievements are concerned, I have represented Goa in the under 17 Hockey tournament held in Delhi, and I was also a part of NCC back in college. Talking about my Persona — I am organized, calm, patient, and punctual, and I very much like to spend quality time with my family.
- Your Achievements that makes you feel high.
I feel that even though ‘achievement’ is something that has multifaceted meanings, a general definition can be agreed upon by all of us. It is something that stirs our soul to its fullest potential. I still vividly remember the day I got promoted to the role of Lead Cabin Attendant in IndiGo airlines and that too in a span of just 18 months— it was the happiest day of my life. I had worked really hard for it, and to have the fruits of my labor lean in my favor felt absolutely great.
- Define the true beauty.
True beauty spawns when we start loving ourselves first, and then we have the chance to embrace the collective. Even though physical beauty does count, real beauty is a reflection of our inner selves. It is about imparting strength to those who desperately need it by being a blessing in their lives. It is also about being kind, humble, and staying true to ourselves under all circumstances. And I also firmly believe integrity is coincidentally linked to the framework of being defined as 'Beautiful'. So, in essence, for me, the concept of beauty revolves around the act of selfless service.
- What makes a complete, healthy and happy family for you?
When I think of my family, a deluge of happy memories rushes through my mind. Especially in today's world, when families are becoming increasingly nuclear, more focus is always on the love, care, and compassion we offer each other, especially during times of distress. I am so proud and happy to say that I am blessed with a family that has always supported me through thick and thin. Participating in this event itself is staunch proof that my family cajoles me to pursue my dreams.
- What is your favorite Idea of Holidaying?
Holidaying, for me, is all about spending time with my family. Especially after becoming a mom recently, I tend to lean closer and closer to my family. Whenever I get free time, I make it a point to spend quality time with my loved ones, and a large chunk of the happiness in my life orbits them. I have intensely fond memories of sharing cooking chores with my mom, watching an exciting movie with my dad, and of course, spending beautiful moments with my husband and kid.
- Why you are participating in Mrs India Queen of Substance?
Ever since childhood, I have had this craze of participating and winning Mrs. India. I am not ashamed to admit that certain famous people like Aishwarya Rai and Sushmita Sen have had their lion's share of influence on me. In retrospect, I feel this influence paved the way to my success as a cabin attendant as well. My primary intention for participating in this event is to break the shackles that revolve around the idea of marriage and motherhood. I wish to inspire the coming generation of women to dream big, no matter what life throws at them.
- What bothers you most about what is happening in the country today?
When I think about some of the daunting problems our country faces today, I feel quite overwhelmed by the stark reality that it is up to each of us to spring into action and create a better future for all of us, especially for the coming generation. One pressing I would say is the Covid scare that is rampant in the country today — a lot of people lost their lives and livelihood; quite a few children lost their parents and the means to secure their future. This saddens me to the core and makes me want to contribute toward creating a better and safer world for us all, in whatever way I can.
- The Quote or saying that encourages you?
I really believe in this Quote. "Why fit in when you were born to stand out". By Dr Seuss
- What is true “Sportsmanship” for you?
In my opinion, true sportsmanship is about embracing a common feeling of brotherhood, especially when playing a sport. It's about sharing the joy of a win, regardless of whether it is you who won the game. The spirit of a game surfaces when the underlying assumptions and prejudices inherent in us fade away, and the essence of the moment is captured alive. It enlivens the ideas of being fair and respecting your opponent, even when you know you are going to lose that game.
- If you were selected as a Charity Ambassador what value addition would you like to make for our Society and how?
This question reminds me of a famous quote, "With great power comes great responsibility". I feel getting selected as a charity ambassador would open up vistas for me in terms of the number of people I can serve. I would use such an opportunity to create awareness among the lower rung of the society, by using social media as the vehicle, and I believe this in turn can help inspire the next generation of young minds to jolt up to action. Of course, the kind of value addition I can promise is dependant on the modality and the nature of the charity I am a part of.
