Mrs. T Patodiya

  • Rajasthan
  • A Brief about yourself and how you describe your own Personality and Persona.
  • Personality of anyone is defined by their actions and so I describe myself as a very creative, poised and passionate person. I am dedicated to whatever I do. On career front, I am a Finance professional and have worked extensively in various sectors of finance domain. Out of passion, I am a food & lifestyle blogger and quite followed on zomato & instagram for my food stories especially. Apart from this I like dancing, and have been a dance teacher at a very young age, for consecutive 5 years. I believe that every individual has to face ups and downs in their lives, but the difference lies in the way you respond to these challenges. I feel that, when life throws lemons at you….make mojitos!

  • Your Achievements that makes you feel high.
  • Achievements for me are short-term accomplishments which implants sense of growth and prepare you for the bigger picture in life. I feel the steps taken to attain those goals are the one which makes me content. Apart from various academic gains I am glad to have worked in Microfinance sector after completing MBA, which aims to provide banking services to underprivileged working women of India. My role was to understand their lifestyle, requirements and guide them about various financial supports available, leading them to better life. Being sensitive towards social issues since childhood, I used to indulge myself in campaigns relating to Helpage India. I have also worked for 1 year in Udaan, a NGO towards the right development of youth, we were supposed to conduct seminars and discussion sessions for school teenagers, for right development of youth.

  • Define the true beauty.
  • Beauty is not only a physical attribute but something which is reflected in our behaviours as a consequence of our thought process. As a human, the more simplified, poised and compassionate we are, more beautiful we are.

  • What makes a complete, healthy and happy family for you?
  • I learnt the meaning of family from this woman I respect a lot and believe that she is the woman of substance. Physiologically, we all have a notion to consider Step mother as a negative character. And so did i until one day during my graduation i realised that my mother was not the one who gave birth to me or my sister, but we were definitely a very happy family. This made me understand that you don’t need to have your own babies to enjoy motherhood and familyhood. She taught me in true sense of what a family is, it's not the relationships binding people together but the love, compassion and respect they have for each other.

  • What is your favorite Idea of Holidaying?
  • Holiday for me is not only spending time with my loved ones but with myself also. I mean the true ourselves whom we hardly get to meet during routined hectic days. Be it reading a book or a beach-side barbeque, beaches have always been on top in my leisure list.

  • Why you are participating in Mrs India Queen of Substance?
  • It is a very strong thinking which is prevailing in society that one should settle down financially as well as on family fronts and then start thinking about contribution towards society, which as a woman indulges us in everything other than social responsibilities. But, I believe that the concept of learn, earn and return should not be mixed with age criteria or family liabilities. Also this contribution towards society should not be seen as a favour to underprivileged, instead it should be more of sharing what we have learned with those who are deprived. Mrs. India Queen of Substance would be wonderful platform to voice my opinion over this subject, as this Pageant also views success as balance between personal and social responsibilities.

  • What bothers you most about what is happening in the country today?
  • I feel the education system in India has grown stronger in past few years, but the ethical behaviour and moral understanding about humanity needs to be taught very seriously. We see an engineer being indulged in terrorism, few doctors being indulged in organ/human tracking, a 11th standard student murdering 2nd standard student in school just to delay the exams, this clearly shows that though students are getting good grades in academics but are totally failing on societal grounds. And this, I believe is root cause to various crimes and social problems.

  • The Quote or saying that encourages you?
  • “The world will see you the way you see yourself and treat you the way you treat yourself ” - Beyonce.

  • What is true “Sportsmanship” for you?
  • True Sportsmanship is a key behavioural aspect of one’s personality who understands keeping competition fair and appreciate genuine efforts. Infact this is not only limited to a competition, instead it is the way how you perceive different situations in life. It’s important to be ethical and believe in the system which you are part of. Win or lose will just be words as long as we are focused and continuously strive to improve.

  • If you were selected as a Charity Ambassador what Value addition would you like to make for our Society and how?
  • As I have worked in a microfinance sector for a long time, I realized that underprivileged people take loan and financial help for small business or construction of house, but they do not prefer to take loans and liabilities for education of their children, where the future of every family lies. And on the other hand there is the educated masses of society who want to invest for such children but there are very few reliable platforms available. So, I want to create such a platform and create awareness about the importance of this bridge. Mrs India Queen of Substance is a very prestigious as well as influential title and being selected as Charity Ambassador on this platform will be really helpful to make this small movement more powerful.
