  • Your Achievements that makes you feel high.
  • One of my achievements that make me feel high was the selection of doing diploma course in NIFT Kolkata, one of the most renowned institutes in fashion designing in India. As I look back, I truly value every moment when I was either drawing a design on the paper or cutting the textile and getting the opportunity of interacting with some of the best people in this industry. I also value the achievements of my teaching career as I have been a part of Kendriya Vidyalaya School for 3 years and also as a teacher for one of the best schools in Hyderabad.

  • Define the true beauty.
  • Although it is often been told that beauty lies in the eye of the beholder, I believe that true beauty requires more depth and inner strength. A woman with true beauty according to me is the one who can spread positivity, goodness and vibrancy all around. This requires immense strength from inside which comes to deeper faith and understanding of life. Physical beauty according to me comes in all sizes, shapes and colors. A woman is beautiful when she knows how to carry herself confidently on all occasion with poise and head held high.

  • What makes a complete, healthy and happy family for you?
  • According to me, a complete family resonates with optimism and positive energy which comes through the family faith in God. The tendency to strife ahead of any obstacle or challenges and go through the ups and downs of life with mutual support, encouragement and co- operation. Similar to what my favourite idol Sushmita Sen earlier commented, I believe that a complete family life is all about loving, caring and sharing. In every society, family is the most important unit and foundation of life and hence, a complete family life will bring out the completeness and wholesome growth of every individual in the society.

  • What is your favourite Idea of Holidaying?
  • My favourite idea of holidaying is to visit a place free from the madding crowd in the metro and go somewhere which is very much close to nature. I would encourage my family to ensure that the time spent in holidaying is free from the usual electronic gadgets hang out be mobile phone or lap top. I would love to fantasize myself wearing some of the best outfit which I generally do not wear on normal days. I would love to be on cruise with my family totally breaking out from the busy life and the hectic schedule of everyday household management.

  • Why you are participating in Mrs India Queen of Substance?
  • It is my childhood dream that I always aspired and dreamt of it for a very long time. To me this contest is not just a beauty contest but a platform in which I would be delight in the best possible manner to bring about wonderful changes and positivity for many women like me. This platform would help me to bring out my inner zeal and enthusiasm of taking up the causes for the suffering woman which might be on a lower scale if I start individually. With this platform, I will be able to access and help multitudes of needy people around me.

  • What bothers you most about what is happening in the country today?
  • What bothers me the most about what is happening in the country today is the safety and status of girl child and woman. Although our country is today’s one of the most developed nations in the world, it is very shocking to hear and read news related to crimes against woman and girl’s child that happens quite often every second in every nook and corner of India. Many steps have been taken in this direction but I believe that “prevention is better than cure.”Hence, the approach should be holistic and should start from each family educating the boy child how to treat girl child and woman with respect and dignity.

  • The Quote or saying that encourages you?
  • The quote or saying that encourages me is - “Freedom is that which helps us to break out of the confines of fear and hate, of chauvinism and obscurantism and the shackles of dead habit. Freedom is the atmosphere which enables each individual to grow to his full height. This is the freedom for which we must strive.” By: Indira Gandhi

  • What is true “Sportsmanship” for you?
  • In my opinion, true “Sportsmanship” is all about the right team spirit which mean genuinely sharing and caring for each other despite the real fact that only one is going to win. I also believe that the spirit of participation is more important than just winning the game. Participation in the right spirit means helping and encouraging each other, build on the strength and improve the weakness. There is more to the game because it helps and improves better interpersonal relationship and how to understand other view points, perception and opinion which are different from our own.

  • If you were selected as a Charity Ambassador what Value addition would you like to make for our Society and how?
  • If I am given the opportunity, I would love to work for the cause of woman and girl child in particular. Although there are lot of organizations and foundations that work for woman, but I still believe that it needs to be translated and multiplied to the grass root level. This will basically start from educating the girl child on how to empower herself in the midst of challenges and obstacles. As I have gone through depression myself, I look forward to starting a foundation with a good team of social workers, Psychiatrists and philanthropies who would love to help the victims of depression.
