  • If you were selected as a Charity Ambassador what Value addition would you like to do for our Society and how? Why do you think giving back to society is important?
  • If I am selected as charity ambassador I want to work for two causes which are close to my heart: Farmers suicide due to agricultural woes and Apathy towards senior citizens in India. Farmers suicide: I want to strongly advocate to implement the plan called “ulavarsanthai” (Farmers Market) where the farmers can directly sell the produce to the consumers as they don’t get the best price for their produce to the middle men exploitation. Also cultivation of multi crops should yield profitable results to the farmers so educating them is very important. I would also like to push for research on the production of crops with higher yield potential and better resistance to pests so that if in a drought like situation the existing crops don’t do well then they should easily shift to crops that are easy and economical to cultivate. Senior citizens There are many senior citizens who want to work past the retirement age. Depending on their skill set I want to open an organization where people can utilize their skills. I am also a strong believer in social security being provided to each and every senior citizen irrespective of caste or creed and especially those who don’t draw pension. A Fine should be issued to the children who do not take care of their parents either socially or economically God has created the world in such a way that it is a balance of power. In the ancient times kings were powerful and Almighty designed it so so that they could protect their subjects with their righteousness and strength and provide the lesser privileged with their abundance to keep everyone happy. I truly believe that if we are privileged enough to live our lives in satiety and abundance it’s a message from god to pass on that abundance to someone who is not born privileged in small ways that we could. Hence giving back to society is important to create a harmonious balance.
