- Define the true beauty.
Beauty according to me stands for B- being bold, E- empathy towards others, A- appreciation for life, U- understanding others feelings, T- thankful for everything, Y- being yourself. Beauty is in inspiring others by how confident you feel about what you say/wear/do in life and how you make them feel around you. Spreading love, joy & kindness is beauty to me.
- What makes a complete, healthy and happy family for you?
A happy family is one which is filled with love, built on trust and has co-ordination between both the partners. It is important to be adjusting and appreciative of each others contribution to the house. Kids become stronger and independent individuals when they grow in a home full of love, discipline and values. Family time is crucial to hold everyone together, it’s when each person understands their responsibilities the house runs smoothly. Health should be a top priority - well balanced meals that include salads, fruits, essential nutrients followed by a regular exercise routine. Family is complete when there is selfless love and care for each other forms a solid foundation. Kids watch and learn and we as parents must set an excellent example for them. Home must make them feel safe and happy.
- What is your favourite Idea of Holidaying?
Holidaying for me is to travel with my family, explore different places and cultures. In true meaning - to relax, play games, chill in the pool, share stories and enjoy every single meal of the day together. I like to sleep in and enjoy a quiet morning in the nature. I am a mountain person so taking long walks and hiking gives me adrenaline rush. I love capturing all the moments on camera and creating a photo album of every trip we take as these are not just days but memories for life. Weekend staycations are perfect when we need to unwind after busy few months. It gives me a lot of joy and peace to be on a holiday and I feel the fresh surge of energy after getting back to work.
- Why you are participating in Mrs India Queen of Substance?
It has been my forever dream to walk the ramp, be a person who is known and is loved by everybody. After becoming a mother it has become a bigger goal for me to to follow my dream, work with passion and show the women that is important to dream and even more important to be dedicated towards achieving it. I want to encourage and guide girls and women to be confident, help develop their personality, be bold and prove that age does not define a dream. I want to be the winner of Mrs. India Queen of Substance and empower every other woman out there to live for themselves.
- What bothers you most about what is happening in the country today?
The biggest concern for me in India is safety and that makes me all the more worried about kids and women in India. I feel like there should be education in our society about safety and parents need to educate their boys about respecting women. It has to start in every home with a message or a National campaign that shows the importance and effects of women safety. The crime rate has to go down and a girl must feel free to sit in a cab even at 10pm or stay at her home safely without having to fear about anything. Strict punishment and fast court trials to offenders must be mandatory only that will create fear in those who feel eve-teasing is normal.
- The Quote or saying that encourages you?
“The two most important days of your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why”. We do not remember the day we are born but we do remember the day we find out the purpose of our life, I believe every single person on earth is born to do something and the day you realise it, your life changes. I have always wanted to be known, famous and be a public figure and this platform is exactly what I needed to help turn it into a reality. Through Mrs. India I aspire to motivate young girls and women to pursue their hobbies. I am not doing it for anyone except myself because this has given me purpose, motivation and a strong desire to work on myself in every way possible.
- What is true “Sportsmanship” for you?
. Every person has sportsmanship and it does not limit to just the sportsmen. Sportsmanship simply shows how a person deals with failures and victories in his life. Failures should not make you weak and wins should not make you over-confident. Being strong – physically, mentally and emotionally is what makes you a strong individual. It requires a person to have resilience, patience, acceptance to failures and learnings from the past mistakes. The ability to bounce back, try harder and keep moving forward in life even after failures, setbacks or injuries. Bend but do not break is what I teach myself and my daughter every day, you do not become the best in a day, but you can become the best version of yourself everyday by improving and working on yourself. Turning your weakness into your strength is the biggest power a human has and we must aspire to grow every single day.
- If you were selected as a Charity Ambassador what value addition would you like to make for our Society and how?
If I am given the opportunity to be the charity Ambassador I would be delighted. My focus will be on imparting education and creating awareness. Guiding girls/women about equality, their rights and importance of being financially independent will be my aim. By conducting seminars in schools, colleges I will make sure my voice reaches out to every single person, underprivileged kids/women. I will be happy to share my knowledge, learnings and experiences wherever I can. I hope to inspire more people through my journey and be a person of value by being a helping hand to those in need.
