  • A Brief about yourself and how you describe your own Personality and Persona.
  • Hello! I am Tanvi Anand. I am an aspiring writer and a proud entrepreneur dealing in the construction industry, living in Houston, TX-USA. I love to read; Jane Austen & Sara Breathneck are among my favorites. Fitness is a lifestyle for me which helps to improve not just your physical but mental health as well. I love to run outdoors in the lap of nature, amidst there I find true peace & tranquility. Being a strong feminist and a spokesperson for women and their rights, I believe daughters are no less than the sons- a mantra instilled in me since childhood.

  • Your Achievements that makes you feel high.
  • Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement, I went on to Delhi University to earn my B.COM (Honors) and I earned my MBA from Houston, TX. I have held different business management roles across the oil & Gas and construction industries. With the love of interior designing, I recently ventured into luxury construction industry in the US and in India and been loving it since then. Being a district topper in English language in 10th & 12th grade, laid the foundation for my love for English language. So, I'm an aspiring writer as well who believes achievement isn’t just about what you accomplish in life; it’s about what you inspire others to do!

  • Define the true beauty.
  • True beauty would always be inside out. It originates from a beautiful heart and reflects in your kind actions that make this world a better place to live. I truly believe beauty is not just skin deep but a reflection of your kindness and empathy. True beauty would also enable you to wear your confidence on your sleeves and you glow & radiate differently when your confidence is inspired by belief in yourself, instead of validation from others.

  • What makes a complete, healthy and happy family for you?
  • I have been blessed to be with the love of my life for last 20 years and we have two wonderful boys aged 6 & 2. Selfless love, compassionate care, mutual respect, endless support are the pillars for a complete, healthy, and happy family. Encouraging and pushing each other’s boundaries to reach new heights together and achieve physical, mental, as well as spiritual well-being is my mantra for a happy & healthy family.

  • What is your favourite Idea of Holidaying?
  • Holidaying to me is to travel. I love to travel and believe it's important to experience the world to broaden your horizons. Meeting new people and experiencing different cultures helps you to explore different domains of your personality. I love to travel to places where the Wi-Fi is weak because only then do we make strong connections. My most recent holiday was on a week-long cruise to the Caribbean Island with my family where we lost ourselves in the tranquility of the sea.

  • Why you are participating in Mrs India Queen of Substance?
  • This spectacular platform is a testament to the strength, beauty, grace, and humility of an empowered woman. I want to be a part of this legacy to live the lucid dreams of my younger self. But most importantly inspire other women to love themselves, realize their potential, and prioritize themselves before anyone else, and be able to bring about a change in our society on the perception of a strong woman by shattering all stereotypes and bringing down the patriarchy.

  • What bothers you most about what is happening in the country today?
  • Having lived in Delhi for long, it bothers me to see the decreasing air quality in the capital city. But at the same time, I would like to thank the Central Government for having taken this matter in their own hands to decongest the capital by connecting the city with multiple national highways alongside all the bordering areas. We need to decrease our carbon footprint in every household as well as industrial segments. Decarbonizing is the only way to a safer & greener planet. Striving towards the goal of zero emissions, building our future on 100% solar & green hydrogen is the way forward.

  • The Quote or saying that encourages you?
  • As I mentioned, I grew up believing daughters are no less than the sons. It was my dad who prepared me for my declamation contest in 6th grade. It started something like- "Jo bharaa nahi hai bhaavo se," "behti jisme rasdhaar nahi" "Wo hriday nahi, wo pathar hai jisko beti se pyaar nahi"!! This has been instilled in me since that day and I strive to live every day by it, breaking all gender-based stereotypes and believing that you glow differently when your confidence is fueled by belief in yourself instead of validation from others.

  • What is true “Sportsmanship” for you?
  • True sportsmanship to me is seeing the greater good beyond yourself and being an ethical team player. I truly believe in “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” which means this world is one family and you’re in it for the collective well- being and not just to pursue your personal interest. A true sportsman would always respect her teammates and reflect courage & perseverance in her persona.

  • If you were selected as a Charity Ambassador what Value addition would you like to make for our Society and how?
  • Being an Autism mom, I want to spread awareness about Autism in our society and help people realize that it's not a disability but a different ability which teaches you endless resilience and ability to enjoy small joys of life. I also want to spread awareness about childhood cancer. Having lost my 6-year-old niece to cancer, I would like to use this spectacular platform to emphasize the importance of inculcating good eating habits among kids.
