Finalist Detail 2023

Sree Prathyusha Nanduru

  • Banglore
  • A Brief about yourself and how you describe your own Personality and Persona.
  • I am MBA in HR, and Diploma in Fashion Designing. With the birth of my first child, I channeled my learning and understanding of the needs of this special child. I certified myself in Special Education(London), Child Psychology(London), Integrated Listening Systems(USA), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Visual Therapy, Aroma Therapy, Color Therapy, HANDLE Level 1, and Teacher Training – Inclusive Education. I am pursuing Masters in Clinical Psychology. My basic instinct of “Mothering” remains intact today as I not only nurture and care for my two beautiful sons, but I also embrace every other living being with equal love and affection. Be it the immovable trees, the chirping, fluttering birds, or the gifted children of my intervention center, ‘The Nurturing Nook’ My persona represents vivacious energy. I believe in multitasking with discipline and focus in every task I choose.

  • Your Achievements that makes you feel high.
  • My joy is like a two-sided coin where one compliments the other. The disciplined side of my coin allows me to adhere to the work–life balance schedule. This joy turns into a high when all the efforts that are put to understand the special needs of my child, Soham flourish. Which in turn springboards me into inspired action to work towards inclusiveness. This led to the birth of ‘The Nurturing Nook’, an intervention center for special needs children

  • Define the true beauty.
  • Every soul has a song that gets sung with grace and poise, in eloquence to its own rhythm. Untethered it needs to fly far and free. That freedom to represent true beauty beyond the surface beauty.

  • What makes a complete, healthy and happy family for you?
  • Clap – It takes two hands to be in the rhythm to resonate a harmonious sound. Sarath (my better half) and I have 98 differences and only 2 common agreeable tenets. We acknowledge that we are imperfectly perfect and retain our differences with shared understanding and space. We believe in sorting out our misunderstandings as it occurs instead of carrying them as a deep hurt of a past into our future.

  • What is your favourite Idea of Holidaying?
  • Mommy Daddy Soham Sohit – HAPPY FAMILY Be we in the ocean, in the high Himalayan mountains, in the great Sahara Desert, or in the high plateaus of our homeland Banglore, our holiday mantra is ‘Mommy Daddy Soham Sohit – HAPPY FAMILY’. Respecting mutual likes and preferences we ensure our holidays cherish each of our interests.

  • Why you are participating in Mrs India Queen of Substance?
  • The declaration of the ADIVA Innovations Pvt Ltd, ‘Celebration of womanhood with a cause’, magnetically attracted me towards Mrs. India Queen of Substance. This is in sync with my own principles of living for sensitizing on inclusiveness, I started ‘The Nurturing Nook’ in 2022 after carefully studying, understanding, and certifying to appreciate and comprehend children with special needs. For this I thank my son, to have stood as a backbone accepting my limitations and experimentations on and off him as a guinea pig, all these 7 years.

  • What bothers you most about what is happening in the country today?
  • Think of showing a Crow or a Sparrow only using a photograph. Think of experiencing a Mango only through the description. Think of walking by a waterbody only through a guided meditation. Alarming! No Doubt. But we are walking into that truth through our unmindful living. ‘Ecological Imbalance’ – This is the botheration for me. Imbibing nature nurturing habits, be it a 6year old or a 60year old, rejuvenating hobbies that keep us close to the earth, reinventing the age-old sensible practices in terms of food, clothing, and shelter, is my proclamation to start from now.

  • The Quote or saying that encourages you?
  • A quote that inspires me “Dream is not that you see in sleep, Dream is something that Does Not let you sleep” – A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.

  • What is true “Sportsmanship” for you?
  • The Golden Rule of sportsmanship is “Treat others the way you want to be treated”. Hence I understand as a true sportsman, a supportive environment will enhance team growth creating opportunities to learn and re-learn with resilience, and perseverance, in chorus exercising self-control.

  • If you were selected as a Charity Ambassador what Value addition would you like to make for our Society and how?
  • Empathetically honoring diversity. ‘We know you, We care for you, We are with you’ is, the signature statement of my intervention center “The Nurturing Nook” at Banglore. As the founder, I believe the right environment builds an individual’s confidence which in turn nurtures society. We follow a 3-fold method which is – Objectively Observe – Operate with Openness – Opine creating an Inclusive Environment. I, as a Charity Ambassador, will spread this insight using various platforms.
