  • A Brief about yourself and how you describe your own Personality and Persona.
  • I am Ritu Bahuguna 48 years old, born and brought up in Dehradun, a graduate of Delhi University, wife of a serving Air Force Officer married for 26 years, a professional soft skills trainer with Frankfinn, The Air Hostess Academy, for the last 13 years and voluntarily associated with the Art of living Foundation for almost two decades. A proud mother of two grown up handsome boys, I have always been a learner and an achiever I take all opportunities that life puts on my way with determination, hard work and commitment. I find joy and happiness even in smallest of my achievements. I have always believed in giving back to the world that inspired me to become a Meditation Coach as I teach world renowned “Sudarshan Kriya” to Army Navy and Air Force officers and families. The Air Force has added vibrancy to my personality and Spirituality has made me stay grounded. Balancing different roles with sense of belongingness, love and happiness has always been my motivation.

  • Your Achievements that makes you feel high.
  • I find happiness in smallest of my achievements though I feel grateful for few big ones too. I am a certificate holder of two Guinness World Records where I participated. The first one in World Cultural Fest of the Art of Living in 2016 as Kathak dancer among 1800 dancers around the world. The second recent one where I participated in “Knitathon” a drive of AFFWA [Air Force Families Welfare Association] for knitting largest numbers of woollen caps for the under-privileged. Apart from these I participated in various cultural programmes held at “Air House” where we hosted the wife of the former President of India, Mr. Ram Nath Kovind. I consider being an Art of Living Instructor also one of my achievements.

  • According to me, the true beauty has sweetness in thoughts, words and action with inner strength to spread joy and happiness in the world. The compassion in the eyes, love in the heart and confidence in the walk

  • What makes a complete, healthy and happy family for you?
  • A family where there is freedom of expression and understanding, respect and love, where the goal is to contribute selflessly with commitment. In a happy family the members help each other to grow and glorify.

  • What is your favourite Idea of Holidaying?
  • For me spending time with family in bounty of nature, where I can hear the nature’s music, meditating and having good food. From Seas to Woods, I look forward to my holidays.

  • Why you are participating in Mrs India Queen of Substance?
  • I am honoured to be a part of Mrs. India Queen of Substance since it allows us to contribute to bigger causes around the world while rediscovering our inner beauty, abilities, and skills. With more value added and wonderful transformations to our personality to appreciate.

  • What bothers you most about what is happening in the country today?
  • Child labour as a result of illiteracy and a lack of education is a major issue in our society. Women's safety in society and inadequate health care are also key concerns which bothers me.

  • “Do what you love and love what you do”

  • What is true “Sportsmanship” for you?
  • Having a positive attitude respecting and supporting each other and creating win-win relationships.

  • If you were selected as a Charity Ambassador what Value addition would you like to make for our Society and how?
  • Being a Charity Ambassador. I would like to contribute to the education of girls in order to empower them to create a better future for themselves, as well as to the empowerment of women in order to create a safe and strong society. I will also work to bring peace, love, and joy by teaching meditation and improving quality of life of people across the globe.
