• A Brief about yourself and how you describe your own Personality and Persona.

I was born in India and moved to United States in 2005 .I am a Pediatric Dentist by profession have a lovely family which Includes my husband and together we have 3 lovely kids . I am very active in the community and my passion is to work with under privileged children with complex medical needs. I would describe myself as a people person , very ambitious and passionate about my work. I like to go to an extra mile to achieve my goals that I set for myself, consider failures as a stepping stone for success. My friends perceive me as somebody who is cheerful and have a positive attitude towards life.

• You’re Achievements that makes you feel high.

I came to US post marriage and cleared various competitive exams to get into the International Dental training program in the prestigious University of California San Francisco. Post Degree I worked with underserved and under privileged children and found my calling In treating medically compromised underprivileged kids . I went back to school to complete my residency Training in pediatric Dentistry for 3 years and work with this vulnerable population. During this time my husband and my 3 kids were of greatest support to me as they helped me balance my life as a Resident, a mom and a wife. I was also recognized for my contributions to the community for opening up Dental Services for underserved population and for my passion to work with kids.

• Define the true beauty.

True beauty to me is the reflection of kind heart and soul. It is the ability to see the best in people and be sharing and caring towards others. This inner beauty radiates outside and makes the essence of true beauty .

• What makes a complete, healthy and happy family for you?

A complete happy healthy family is where each and every member of the family is valued respected and held in high esteem. I believe that things that matter the most towards a happy family are open respectful communication at all times, family bonding time, and sharing chores around the house and model behaviors of love and support at all times.

• What is your favorite Idea of Holidaying?

My favorite idea of holidaying is travelling to different places where I can experience unfamiliar cultures and food with my family.It has been a perfect way to connect with my family, strengthen my bonds with them.My favorite destination is Hawaii where I enjoy the beautiful views of nature the lush island with waterfalls and valleys , incredible wildlife ,beautiful sunsets and their thriving culture.

• Why you are participating in Mrs. India Queen of Substance?

This pageant will give me a platform for my voice to be heard and will help accomplish my vision of making health care accessible to under privileged children of our society especially those who are medically compromised. This pageant is also a process of self discovery and an opportunity to build my confidence and enhance my personality overall.

• What bothers you most about what is happening in the country today?

There are many burning issues in the country but one that bothers me the most is disparities in the health care of children worldwide. Health is still prohibitive to millions of children around the world especially those who are poor, underprivileged and medically compromised. I strongly believe that health care should be a right and not a privilege of the rich around the globe

• The Quote or saying that encourages you?

Strength does not come from winning. Your struggles develop your strength, when you go through hardships and decide not to surrender that is strength- Arnold Schwarznegger. This quote is encouraging to me as this just summarizes my life.

• What is true “Sportsmanship” for you?

True sportsmanship to me is compete hard ,play the game fairly , be respectful of other players and win or lose gracefully.

• If you were selected as a Charity Ambassador what Value addition would you like to make for our Society and how?

If I were to be selected as the charity ambassador I would use this platform to partner with various non-profit organizations at national and international level to make the right to health care accessible to all underprivileged children worldwide. I would use this arena to obtain necessary funding and resources to make it happen.
