- How you describe your own Personality and Persona.
My name is Snehal Khirid, 31 years and I come from the cultural city - Pune. I basically come from a middle class family with two elder siblings where the importance has always been education, honesty, self-belief and hard work. Grown up as a papa’s girl, my dad always inspired me to have my independent opinions. My confidence and attention to detail comes from him. I completed my graduation in Pune and later went to Mumbai for further studying Management to enter into the corporate world. While I was still learning to understand the corporate world expectations I met my husband. 6 years back we were blessed with our daughter Inaya – and as the name says she’s truly a God’s gift. Enjoying the roller coaster ride that motherhood brings I got back to my career when Inaya was hardly5 months old. This journey really brought in a lot of changes in me. My mother always said that children end up teaching you much more than you teach them, but I never really believed that to be true until my daughter entered the world. She opened my eyes to so many new things. She’s taught me more about myself and what truly matters in life than I ever thought possible. I developed a lot of interest in learning nutritional recipe – something which I never enjoyed before, enjoying playing dart, chess, snake and ladders and even peek –a-boo at times with her and reliving my childhood. This journey bought a new level of energy and charm in me. I developed “I Can and I Will” attitude which has made me successful both in my personal and professional life. I also love swimming and cycling and love to travel places.
- Your achievements that make you feel high?
Being bought up in a middle class family with a conservative background stepping out of house for completing my Masters has always made me feel great. I’m the only daughter in our family who has stepped out for completing her Masters from Mumbai. Looking back at that decision and after been successful in my corporate journey I really feel good about what I have accomplished over last these few years.
- Describe the true Beauty?
Beauty more than external what means to me is internal which remains eternal. It’s the radiance that shone’s from within. I define beauty as something that would let selfless help to the suffering of the people. It’s more where people look upon your character, your behavior more than your external beauty which might be very appealing or radiant. A person true at heart, honest in beliefs, selfless in work, radiant by the aura of goodness and positivity is the most beautiful person in my view.
- Do you consider yourself to be a giver or taker?
Both. My family, society, country has given me at every phase of life be it in the form of standing by with me in tough times, celebrating the good times, giving me the right eco system and social security or the unconditional love that my family has always bestowed on me. All this while I have been more off a taker I have also taken ahead the journey of life by giving back to each one by way of contributing towards the education, sufferings of the society and making my family members proud of me at every step of life.
- What is your favourite Idea of Holidaying?
A perfect time out with my family in the lap of nature in a tent at a place where there’s no connectivity to any network. Uninterrupted holiday’s with full time dedicated only to my family.
- Why you are participating in Mrs India Queen of Substance?
It’s a different platform altogether which titles you not only for your beauty but for Beauty with brains. Having a successful professional career and blessed with all that’s required in personal life I want to set myself for some new challenges which are completely different. Something that put’s me out of my comfort zone. Bought up as a blessed daughter and a mother to a daughter I want to leverage this platform to bring in the change and be a role model for those parents who look at daughters as burden. I want to make each of them feel proud to be a parent of a girl child.
- If you were given the chance to live again, what would it be?
I have everything that I ever needed. Never felt any vacuum in this life to wish for anything. Even if I get a chance to live again I would just want to be blessed with same family members as I’m in this lifetime. Just don’t expect anything more than this.
- The Quote or saying that encourages you?
Though would sound very traditional but I strongly believe in one quote – “Love all, trust a few, do wrong to none.” ~ William Shakespeare. Spread the aura of love to people around you. In the journey of all we meet many people. Have confidence in a few, few who will stand by with you during your toughest phase of life. Trust a few which will not let people take you for granted and hurt your self-respect as an individual. And the most important is however high you climb up the ladder of success and fame one thing should always be remembers – respect every individual for what he is and just absolutely do nothing wrong with anyone. Because life gives you in return what you do to others. Just spread the aura of love and kindness..!
- Many teenagers and youngsters are bullied worldwide for having .
Beauty definitely is not external. What you need to value is the beautiful life that God has gifted each one of us. Everyone is unique in themselves. The uniqueness that you carry is just more prominent. Use it as your strength. Don’t undermine your capabilities. What’s more important is how we use this unique capability in doing something for which we will be remembered for ever. Make that difference not for the world but for yourself. Don’t lose your confidence and don’t let anyone hurt your self-respect. Love yourself for what you are not for what other want to see you.
- If you were selected as a Charity Ambassador what Value addition would you like to do for our Society and how? Why do you think giving back to society is important?
I would like to promote more towards education in the society. For me its not only educating the academic part in the kids, but also imparting education in elderly folks who have been deprived of it during their early age. Making them aware of few basic hygiene things, making them atleast capable and reading and writing few basic thins is very important for me. That’s where my charity part of work will majorly compass of. Society has been giving each one of us in its own unique way – be it the eco system in which we operate or be the social security. While been outside the system its very easy to point out the flaws and be vocal of the gaps that are there in the society. What we contribute towards the well-being of the society is very critical. On a large front it’s for the betterment of each one of us. What we sow, so shall we reap. If we sow the seeds of education our next generation will come up as more better individuals who will then sow some better seeds which will contribute towards the betterment of tomorrow.
