- How you describe your own Personality and Persona.
Extrovert in nature along with being extremely passionate about everything that I do. My emotion drives me and therefore I am very close to my family/friends. I am known for my hard work, confidence, perseverance and compassion. Married for 9 years, I am the brave princess for my parents. Having a career of 11+ years as a banker/Finance professional and being a manager for the past 6 years, I know how to get the best out from every individual. I am still the complete homemaker at heart, the strong soul mate for my better half and the pragmatic and yet the sensible mother. My husband and my son are both miracles in my life.
- Your Achievements that makes you feel high.
I am an MBA in Finance and Marketing from Bangalore University. Coming from a small city in the North East (Guwahati/Assam) at a trying time for my parents both from a societal as well as financial scope - I am proud about the fact that I have been able to live up to my promises in terms of having a successful career and a delightful personal life – all in my own terms. I feel high each day not for how much I earn or how I look, but when someone at work or at home tells me that I did a good job – that becomes my moment of truth.
- Define the true beauty.
For me beauty lies with everyone in one way or the other. I have been closely associated with people all my life more so because my job required me to do so and I have noticed and appreciated the fact that each of us have the inherent skill talent and beauty in ourselves– each of us have something so unique to learn from each other. To me anyone who knows, understands and appreciates this is beautiful.
- Do you consider yourself to be a giver or taker?
Well if you ask anyone in my family, friends circle or associates at work the straight answer might be they might be I am a giver, but actually I eventually become the taker as I get all the love and affection from everyone around. I seriously “take-take” only from my dear husband whether it is his valuable time or his ATM card! Laughs! He is my soul mate in the real sense and is the best thing that ever happened to me.
- What is your favourite Idea of Holidaying?
Some place around the sea with the two miracles in my life (son and husband) and my closest friends without the pressure of time and having to look into our mobile phones.
- Why you are participating in Mrs India Earth?
I am an East Indian by birth and brought up , married to a North Indian (Husband is from Himachal Pradesh) for the last 9 years and residing in South India (Bangalore) for the past 14 years – I have truly imbibed myself into the multicultural environment and therefore I am capable of representing India internationally. Besides that, my professional and personal life experience as a daughter, sister, manager, wife, mother and friend has enriched and evolved me consistently and I feel like a complete package capable of delivering to all these different roles at my very best. Multitasking and extremely good time management skills are two other attributes which keeps me at ease. My confidence drives me – I know I am capable of representing my beautiful country in the most ecstatic way as Mrs India Earth.
- What do understand by Global warming and how can it be reduced to save earth?
My personal opinion about Global warming is the depleting natural environment in the man-made world today which is taking us towards sickness and disaster as mankind. Every individual globally needs to be educated on the impact of global warming .Each of us need to make efforts and re-organise our day to day lives to reduce our carbon footprint. More stringent laws from the government will further enhance the focus on environment protection.
- The Quote or saying that encourages you?
There are many quotes which has kept me going at different phases in life. I am most impacted by these last words of Steve Jobs Quote: “The wealth I have won in my life, I cannot bring with me. What I can bring is only the memories precipitated by love. That’s the true riches which will follow you, accompany you giving you strength and light to go on. Love can travel a thousand miles. Life has no limit. Go on where you want to reach. It’s all in your heart and in your hands”
- If you were selected as a Charity Ambassador what Value addition would you like to make for our Society and how?
If I am selected as a Charity Ambassador, I would want to focus on two aspects: First, work towards female education – because I feel this will drastically improve our nation’s progress at a global level. Second, work for crime against children and women.
- Why do you think giving back to society is important?
At its niche level it is society that determines the fate of an individual and ultimately a country. Having sustainable values, discipline and principles in the growing years makes us successful and happy at a professional and personal level. Each one us is ultimately a product of the society we dwell, hence having the best will bring in the best in us and our future generation
