- How you describe your own Personality and Persona.
I am a small town girl with great moral values inculcated in me. Always taught to be a well behaved girl I believe my strength lies in the culture I possess. Charismatic, vibrant, fun-loving, compassionate, very romantic at heart, sensitive, filled with emotions, diligent, generous, down to earth and simple yet beautiful is how I would describe myself.
- Your Achievements that makes you feel high.
Parents being my backbone throughout my life, I always thrive to make their lives a happier one. After all the hardships that my parents went through to raise my brother and I, the first time I gave my father the money that I earned and how his eyes lit up with pride is the greatest personal achievement for me. Being able to be there for them whenever they need me in spite of me being married and having a busy life for myself makes me feel like I have achieved my goals through their eyes.
- Define the true beauty.
Beauty isn't about having a pretty face. It is about having a pretty mind, a pretty soul and a pretty heart. True beauty is beyond what's seen with the eyes. It is a reflection of a person's self-confidence, love for his/her family, concern for other individuals, and respect to the community as a whole. I firmly believe that beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder and it is all about how you perceive things.
- Do you consider yourself to be a giver or taker?
I am definitely a giver. It gives immense pleasure to your inner self when you give. For the most part of my life, I have lived mostly for others and less for myself. I believe its strength of oneself and a gift when a person can spread happiness, love, and positive attitude across everywhere one goes.
- What is your favourite Idea of Holidaying?
Since I am more of a dreamer, a quiet destination with very little habitation, where you can relax with your loved ones would be a perfect holiday for me. Away from the hustle bustle of life – no cellphones, no television; fresh air, feet in water, clear blue skies are my kind of holidays that I would like to spend.
- Why you are participating in Mrs India Earth?
Modelling was a dream for me as a little girl. ‘What would you like to be when you grow up? – A Model’ would be an answer throughout. This is how I spent my childhood answering how one day I would be a top model. However, destiny had other plans for me and my dream was left behind and I dint quiet chase my dreams. Now that I have a very supporting husband who inspires me to do the things that I like to do, I would like to achieve my dream of being a beauty queen and this would solely be for a selfish reason of making myself proud. Additional to the above, this would also give me the platform to voice my opinions and make the world a better place by spreading love, happiness and joy all around.
- What do understand by Global warming and how can it be reduced to save earth?
With Global Warming, I personally understand it as an imbalance caused in the nature. The frequent deforestation, pollution, emission of harmful gases has caused the global temperatures to change resulting in climate changes in earth. To save our mother earth from this global warming, the world needs to come together in planting more and more trees, drive a fuel efficient vehicle, reduce waste by using reusable products instead of disposables, place limits on the amount of carbon that polluters are allowed to emit.
- The Quote or saying that encourages you?
‘Be your own kinda beautiful’ and ‘Do your best and leave the rest’ are the two quotes that inspires me a lot and makes me the person I am today. ‘Be your own kinda beautiful’: You should have the belief in yourself, the self-confidence and the inner self who you are is what makes you beautiful. No matter how good you look, there will always be someone better looking. Your nature, your characteristics, and your personality, these and not your face, are what make you the special person you are. Good looks can only take you so far. Hence, define the beautiful you choose to be. ‘Do your best leave the rest’: This quote inspired me a lot when I heard it for the first time in my workplace. When you do something, do it whole heartedly and you do not have to always expect something in return. Good happens to people who always do good.
- If you were selected as a Charity Ambassador what Value addition would you like to make for our Society and how?
I would want to focus on the below if I had the power to add value to the society. Take care of the Old aged – I firmly believe that as people grow older, they become children. Like how you wouldn’t want your child not being protected, not being pampered and not being well taken care of, the same should be applied even to the aging people. They are merely children in a grown up body and should be taken extra care of. What inspires me to go on this path is because of my grandmother and it’s for people like her that I would like to take up this cause for.
- Why do you think giving back to society is important?
Society is what makes you a person you want to be. For having the inner peace, you need to make your society a happy place to live in. Your future generations need to learn the same morals that you currently hold and this would be possible only when you make society a better place to live in. Lending a hand is what causes the tremendous meaningful positive change that we want in our communities. Giving back to my community is my responsibility. Even beyond that, it is a great privilege to serve the amazing people who make my life beautiful each day. If you believe you have the capability of preaching your moral values to others, you must give back to the society to create the good. Also to enable them to have the same chances in life that I have had and empower them to later be the ones transforming lives of their communities.
